Words of wisdom from a long, adventurous life are woven through the author’s many decade-long friendships.
Throughout her life, Patti Walsh learned to accept herself at every stage and to choose paths which brought her new experiences and put just the right people in her world. Female friends are the central figures in her tales, and the theme of each vignette seems to be, “To have friends, be a friend.” Her story-telling is excellent with just the right amount of wittiness, description, action, and interesting characters.
Patti is well-versed in Irish folklore and myth, as displayed in her YA books and in her presentations.. I can picture her as an old Celtic wise woman sitting around a fire telling stories and imparting wisdom to a rapt audience of a younger generation. They’d do well to listen.
